^I am getting following error message while trying to log in: "You are using unsupported browser older than Internet Explorer 8.0."

The solution is to upgrade your internet browser to Internet Explorer 8.0 and above or you can alternatively use latest versions of Google Chrome or FireFox.

^I am running Internet Explorer 8.0 and I am getting following error message while trying to log in: "You are using unsupported browser older than Internet Explorer 8.0 or the compatibility view mode is enabled." We recommend to run Windows Update session for latest updates or disable the compatibility view mode.

In this case, you are running your Internet Explorer with compatability mode enabled. It is required to disable the compatibility mode. This can be done using respective icon on the right side in the url bar. Alternatively, the option can be disable from settings menu.

^Can you find out if anyone stole fuel from the tank?

When the Lupus unit in the vehicle is connected to the CAN bus, you will have a summary of the truck’s tank status.

^I just came to work and my last drive is not displayed in the log, even though the truck’s position is correct.  Can you explain why this is happening?

The truck’s current position is sent through a different channel than the drive log. Therefore, it is possible that the sending and processing of the drive book can be delayed during peak operating periods (for a maximum of a few hours).

^Can a vehicle be tracked outside the home country?

The Lupus unit ordinarily does not send data on a position from outside the home country, since data flows from abroad would result in an unreasonable rise in the cost of Webdispatching services. However, you may (if you have paid SMS services) ask the Lupus unit to send the vehicle’s current position.

^Can the drive log be created outside the home country?

The Lupus unit can create the drive log outside the home country and when the vehicle returns to the home GSM network, the data will be sent to the WebDispatching server. A drive log is still created, though it will only be accessible after the vehicle returns into its home country.

^Is it possible not to allow some users to change data in the system?

Yes, users’ rights can be set so they cannot change data.  For more information, see the manual, which can be downloaded from: http://www.webdispecink.cz/en/downloads/.

^What is the “odometer correction” function used for?

If your unit is not connected to a CAN bus (this is the case, for example, in ŠKODA and other Volkswagen Group brand vehicles), the tachometer would need to be adjusted monthly to correct the difference between the distance measured using the GPS system and the tachometer installed in the vehicle. “Odometer correction” thus calculates into drives the difference between both final data on the tachometer’s actual status.

^Can data from CCS or another card be imported into the system?

Yes, this can be done. You also have to import it from other cards (Shell, etc.).

^How long is data stored in the Webdispatching application?

Text data is stored at least for 4 years and maps related data is stored at least for 2 years.

^How can I get more details about your system?

For example, from the manual, which you can download from the “Download” section – see http://www.webdispecink.cz/en/downloads/.

^How does the Dallas chip scanner work?

A “Dallas” chip is used to identify a driver. The scanner reads the chip when the on-board network is switched on, using the ignition key, by means of a red (green) control light in the center of the scanner.  Once the identification chip has been read, the control light switches off and the information will be written into the memory with the unique code of the user’s chip. The scanner can be logged off by using the same chip again (or another one). In this case, the control light will blink and new identification can be made. Information about the logoff using the code of the user who logged off will be written into memory. The system can also be logged off when the on-board network is switched off by turning the ignition key. Warning: Using the Dallas chip in a MJ2016II unit depends on the unit’s software version and how it is set up. If you install a unit where the order does not include use of a Dallas chip, please contact the supplier.

^The question “Do you want to download unsecured items?” is displayed.

The WebDispatching application uses, with certain functions, Google cartographical supports. Your Internet browser can consider this a security risk and therefore you will be alerted of this fact with the above mentioned question. If you want to set up a browser so that this question does not appear again, in the upper part of your browser, click “Tools” and choose “Internet Options”. In the window that opens, click “Security” and then “Custom level”. Afterward, set up “Display mixed content” to permit this function.

^The map is not available. I can see just blank/white screen.

There might be several issues preventing you from seeing the maps. If your browser indicates unsecured content, enable download of unsecured content using respective option in settings. Additionally, delete all your browsing history and temporary files. Then attempt to refresh the screen by using CTRL + R keys. Another solution might be to switch from secured to unsecured browsing by typing https://www.webdispatching.com/ instead http://www.webdispatching.com/ Always use only supported browsers such as Internet Explorer 8.0 and above, FireFox or Chrome. In case you are still unable to display the content, please contact your administrator.

^The Webdispatching portal is not showing current vehicle position

Verify, that the vehicle is located in GPS covered area. In case that the vehicle is abroad make sure that your data roaming is activated. If not, all related data will be stored to your log book and sent to Webdispatching when you get back to your domestic area, including all positions home and abroad.

^I am unable to login to the Webdispatching application.

Please, verify your login credentials which were sent to you or your administrator upon initial service setup. If you are still unable to login, please contact your dedicated administrator or request new access at webdispecink@webdispecink.cz

^I cannot send messages to the navigation.

In order to send messages, you need to have your user rights set up correctly. Verify that max. number of sent Text messages in user settings is set to min. value "1".

^User rights are setup correctly however I am still unable to send messages.

Verify that your navigation unit is connected using the vehicle information window: It will show one of these statements: 1. Connected - The navigation unit is connected, it is possible to send/receive messages. 2. Disconnected - The navigation unit is disconnected, the driver disconnected the unit or the vehicle is not located in GPS covered area. Messages can be sent, however they will be delivered upon establishing connection/GPS coverage. Attention: Message delivery might delay. 3. Status verification - the server did not recognize whether the unit is connected/disconnected. The server is attempting to establish connection, that can take up to 5 minutes. The status - connected/disconnected will be updated depending on whether the connection attempt was succesful.

^I receive "Undelivered!" error message when attempting to communicate with driver.

This means that your message could not be delivered, most probably due to connectivity issues at the GSM network provider or no GPRS.

^The traveling distance (km) in the application is different from what is displayed in the vehicle.

If your GPS unit is not connected to CAN, OBD or FMS data it's unfortunately our system, system features are limited. In such case we recommend to run the "odometer correction" function. More details can be found in the user manual.

^Can I change the vehicle icon appearance on the map?

Yes, the icon can be changed in the "appearance setting" menu available in car list. If needed, you can upload your own icon using setting/custom symbols functionality.

^Why are car registration number, time and driver name displayed next to the vehicle icon?

That is because you have selected appropriate options in the "appearance setting" menu.

^Why is the driver's name located next to the vehicle icon different from driver's name who logged in, using correct Dallas chip?

The map will display only default driver's name.

^The fuel data cannot be imported from the OMV file.

Contact your OMV administrator and ask for *.dat file. OMV usualy sends files to the clients biweekly.

^The map is continously updating even If I haven't touched the screen.

You have most probably activated "vehicle tracking" function. Respective icon is located above the car list and will appear in the red frame when activated. Click the icon and select "cancel vehicle tracking" to deactivate the map rendering function. Attention: function "vehicle tracking" will be automaticaly activated upon selecting checkbox in front of the vehicle registration number in the vehicle list.

^Why does every user need to have his/her email address entered?

Email addresses are used to restore forgotten passwords. If unavailable, users have to contact the helpdesk which would prolong the entire restore process.

^Why does the fuel tank size must be entered?

This is required for vehicles that are set up to display current fuel volume. For vehicles that display the fuel volume using a float in the tank, it is necessary to set the calibration curve by sending information from the last fueling to webdispecik@webdispecink.cz. Ideally, the process should be repeated for a few times. Fueling examples for succesfull calibration priority order:

Nearly empty tank

1/4 of your tank size

1/2 of your tank size

3/4 of your tank size

The details above will be used by the support desk to set the calibration curve accordingly. If you need more details regarding the process, please email to webdispecink@webdispecink.cz

^How can I file a claim?

After logging into the system, select the tab "Settings" folder "Vehicles" and then select "Vehicles". You'll see a list of all vehicles registration marks that have been implemented into the system. Select registration mark for which you need to file a claim and then click on a gear icon "Service-claims". You'll see a system generated table with "description" field where you just enter the description of your problem.

^Is it possible to import fuel cost from own fuel station?

Yes. The solution is to create  customized format for fuel import in the "Settings" tab, folder "Fuel", subfolder "Fuel files type". This option will allow you to define column orders and type of detail in these columns. Newly created files have to be saved as *.xls file extensions.
